‘Passenger’ starts on October 9

It seems that all the young directors of Mollywood are obsessed with English titles. Every new movies announced recently have a title that resembles English films.

Like the few on production like ‘Violet’, ‘Red Chillies’, ‘Currency’ and ‘Love In Singapore’, debutant director Renjith has also named his new flick with Sreenivasan in the lead as 'Passenger'. The movie will also feature Dileep in an interesting cameo.

The pooja of 'Passenger' was held at Kochi last week, where director Lal lighted the ceremonial lamps. Mamtha and Lakshmi Sharma are the heroines of this movie, which will be scripted by the director himself.

Bijipal will be in charge of the music section while P Sukumar will wield the camera for Passenger. The movie is expected to be on sets by the ninth of October that is on the Vijaydashami day.

Producers and exhibitors in war again

The latest war between the Producers association of Malayalam and Cine exhibitors Association, regarding the number of release centers, will once again bring problems to the films that are charted for this Ramzan. Cine Exhibitors association, the organization of A class theatre owners of the state, are in the demand that they will only allow the release of Malayalam movies in 48 centers.
